What this Privacy Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy covers how we treat Personal Data that we gather when you access or use our Services. "Personal Data" means any information that identifies or relates to a particular individual and also includes information referred to as "personally identifiable information" or "personal information" under applicable data privacy laws, rules or regulations. This Privacy Policy does not cover the practices of companies we don't own or control or people we don't manage.
Categories of Personal Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of Personal Data:
- Profile or Contact Data: First and last name, email, phone number, mailing address
- Payment Data: Payment card information, billing address (processed by Stripe, Inc.)
- Web Analytics: Web page interactions, non-identifiable request IDs
- Geolocation Data: IP-address-based location information
- Health Data: Medical conditions relevant to your child's care
- Baby Sitting Night booking data: When you book a Friday Baby Sitting Night, we collect the parent/guardian's name, email, phone, address, and emergency contact, plus each child's name, date of birth, allergies, and care notes. This information is provided by the parent — never by the child — and is used only to staff the evening safely, confirm the booking by email, and pre-fill future bookings when you ask us to remember your family. If you uncheck “Remember my family,” we still keep the booking record but do not reuse the details for future pre-fill.
How We Share Your Personal Data
We disclose your Personal Data to the following categories of service providers:
- Service Providers: Hosting, technology, communication providers, support vendors, and payment processors (Stripe, Inc.)
- Analytics Partners: Companies that track how users interact with and are referred to the Services
- Legal Obligations: When required by law, regulation, or court order
- Business Transfers: In the event of merger, acquisition, or bankruptcy
Tracking Tools and Opt-Out
The Services use cookies and similar technologies to enable our servers to recognize your web browser, analyze trends, and improve our Services. We use Essential Cookies, Functional Cookies, and Performance/Analytical Cookies (including Google Analytics).
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. To opt out of Google Analytics, visit the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Data Security and Retention
We seek to protect your Personal Data from unauthorized access using appropriate physical, technical, organizational and administrative security measures. We retain Personal Data for as long as you have an open account with us or as otherwise necessary to provide our Services and comply with legal obligations.
Personal Data of Children
We do not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Data from children under 13 years of age. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it as quickly as possible. If you believe a child under 13 may have provided Personal Data to us, please contact us at [email protected].
Baby Sitting Night sign-in: bookings use passwordless email links (“magic links”) instead of passwords. A single-use link confirms the booking and signs the parent in for 90 days; you can end this at any time by contacting us and we will delete the sign-in session and, on request, your saved family details.
State Law Privacy Rights
Colorado residents are entitled to contact us to prevent disclosure of Personal Data to third parties for direct marketing purposes. To submit such a request, please contact us at [email protected].
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may need to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will alert you to changes by placing a notice on our website or sending you an email. If you use the Services after changes have been posted, you agree to all of the changes.
