Carolina, the passionate owner and lead teacher at Casita de
Colores, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her
bilingual, arts-focused home daycare. Originally from
Colombia, Carolina's background in early childhood education
is rooted in her training with the Australia Open University,
where she gained a deep understanding of the developmental
needs of young children. For the past three years, Carolina
has worked with Douglas County Schools, supporting and
teaching children with special needs, honing her ability to
create individualized learning strategies and provide
nurturing care. She also served as a Spanish teacher for After
School Programs in Douglas County Schools for two years,
fostering language skills and cultural appreciation among her
students. Additionally, Carolina worked as the Early Childhood
Childcare Coordinator at South Suburban Church, where she
further developed her expertise in creating supportive,
faith-based environments for young children. As a mother of
two, Carolina understands the importance of a supportive,
enriching environment for children, and she brings that
personal experience into her work every day. At Casita de
Colores, she combines her expertise in bilingual education and
her love for the arts to create a joyful, vibrant space where
children can grow, learn, and express themselves freely.
Carolina is deeply committed to nurturing creativity,
confidence, and a lifelong love of learning in every child who
walks through the door, providing a welcoming and engaging
experience that feels like home.
